Neue Aargauer Bank –  excellent results.

In 2006 the Neue Aargauer Bank (NAB)decided to
invest in a sustainable workplace health
promotion programme in order to provide
employees with additional support – and
to be considered as an employer with
that little extra bit of something.
The programme was launched under the label «NABalance» in 2008 and awarded the prize of  «model of good practice» by HR Swiss Congress that same year. In the meantime, NABalance is a firm part of the sustainable corporate culture of NAB. Feedbacks and reportings show that targeted goals were by far surpassed.

NAB's CHM programme was launched at the NAB Management Forum in 2006. Consequently, informative events were held at the different locations and branches of NAB as to enthuse employees with the benefits of the programme. Alongside, flyers and articles on the intranet were used to make different aspects of the programme known to everybody. The result: fully booked seminars and very high user rates of online tools.

it paid to stick with the programme
The first results of the programme were very positive. Not even the increase in challenging work situations around the global financial crisis and its impact on the banking sector could impair the general well-being of NAB's staff. Ratings on persoanl well-being, perceived support by work colleagues and superiors and particularly on perceived appreciation by the company rose considerably. NAB's CHM programme was awarded the health promotion prize by the canton of Aargau in 2012 for its sustainability as well as its commitment to staff in general.

the second survey showed clear improvements in all areas of concern. Particularly ratings on the sensation of well-being, the perception of company support as well as precived appreciation at workplace rose significantly.
