Amt für Wirtschaft und Arbeit des Kantons Zürich – approaching CHM in professional ways.

The Amt für Wirtschaft und Arbeit (AWA) runs Corporate Health Management (CHM)on a very high level. In 2010 an internal group of experts developed a CHM process, which was to address personal well-being, development of executives, ergonomics and various other topics. The interventions that followed were either run by internal resources or in cooperation with external partners.

Specialists for special topics
Promoting well-being at workplace, particularly the aspects of physical activity and healthy nutrition, has a firm and important place in AWA's CHM-concept.  It is in fitimjob that AWA found the right partner to run specific intervention programmes on a top quality level which is what employees expected. All the workshops and seminars run by fitimjob were very popular and tended to be fully booked in no time. Many of the seminars' participants mentioned in their feedbacks that their expectations had been surpassed and that they recommended the seminars to their colleagues.

Succesful launch for everybody
As to launch the notion of well-being at workplace and make it known and visible, AWA launched a 40-days step-counting event in cooperation with fitimjob. Employees, as individuals or in teams, accumulated steps over 40 days and virtually climbed Mount Everest. The participation rate was at 70%! Many positive feedbacks stated that the topic of personal well-being was launched with the right event, in the right way..

Continuing on the path
AWA intends to continue to promote and address the importance of personal well-being amongst their employees. For at AWA they know: CHM is not a goal, it's a path.
