In times that are stressful and hectic, our own needs are put aside or neglected. The more the pressure rises from the outside, the more we are challenged, the less we devote ourselves to spending time doing things that give us energy. We postpone it to later or give it up completely. A paradoxical behavior if you think about it: you are asked to give more energy, but then you also give up what would still give you energy. One needn't be a physicist to realize that such behaviour will sooner or later bring about an imbalance of energy.

Burnout prevention is primarily about assuming self-responsibility, but also a leadership issue. In business life, however, the capacities and know-how are often lacking, to deal with the topic seriously.

the solution: measure first, then take action

The burnout risk can be assessed using a scientifically validated tool. Anonymously, high-risk employees are given the option of using a "personal support line". For most companies, we were able to reduce the risk of burnout by 18 to 22%.

It begins slowly and hardly noticeably with e.g. headaches, tiredness, exhaustion, nervousness and / or sleeping disorders (situation: stretched). If these things go unnoticed and no counteractions are taken, after some time, an employee will drop to the struggling zone.

Burnout describes a process of work-related exhaustion in response to stress. Burnout is not a disease in the medical sense, but the symptoms usually lead to diseases. As different as the symptoms are, the course is usually similar: burnout begins subtly and is a longterm process that can be described in different phases. Permanent stress is the "fuel" for this process.
